Friday Homework for Lesson 354: Stem Stitch with Buttonhole Loop

The Stem Stitch with Buttonhole Loop is easy and quick! Try it!

When you pull the Buttonhole Loop, the loop changes into a cross, so maybe the correct name would be Stem Stitch with Buttonhole Cross?

I would call it Stem Stitch with Buttonhole Cross. Good samples.

It's a really intriguing stitch. I can imagine using a very find thread and using it to create the effect of the feathery line some sketchers use, or using a thicker thread to create the effect of a lace petticoat peeping from below a skirt..

Rachel's imagining a feathery line, yes I can see that too. Maybe then stacking lines of it and coming up with a cross hatch. Lots of possibilitites.

It looks more like a cross than a loop.

It works well stitched on a curve.
