The following quilts, though fantastic, did not win any prizes.

山口智恵子*Chieko Yamaguchi

山崎佳子*Yoshiko Yamazaki makes her Feather stitches so evenly one wonders if they are made by machine, but no, no!

 大内淳*Jun Oguchi

Thanks for sharing this with us. It's great to see these beauties! For now I only took a quick look, I have a new blogpost to write. But I'm coming back to take a better look later this week.

Aren't these gorgeous? I think I missed a few of these, thanks for posting so I can see here what I didn't see there!

It is so easy to miss things when there is a crowd and one has limited time to stand in front of the quilts.

I hope you have a good second look and can enjoy the fantastic quilts.

No I'm not fed up with seeing the quilts, there are some stunning ones. I think I like the first one the most.

These quilts, they're all amazing!
I agree, Aki's bear family quilt details must've been done with a magnifying
glass. So fun!

They are all stunning, but the winning one does look fabulous!

I was hoping to go back one more time at the end when there are fewer people, but with all that is coming up here, there was sadly no way.

So did the judges! I think it was the best Grand Prix of the shows 17-year history.

That quilter always work such small details in her quilt. I saw it the first time some years ago in the Yokohama show and everyone was standing around drooling.

It was the best!

I, too, wish my time would be MY time, but alas I am at the beck-and-call of others and had no chance of returning for a third visit.

May I ask if you know the pattern name of the house/cathedral quilt done by Yuki Taniguchi? Beautiful!! Thank you!

I'm afraid I don't. I guess it is her own design.
