As I have explained before, I want all the TAST stitches in one (private) collection and will give them the chronological number in the order I learn them.
So now it is time for Whipped Spoke Stitch, which I will call TAST #150.
This stitch is very similar to TAST 11 Whipped Wheel, but I made a band instead of a wheel.
First on Aida,
then on canvas
and finally on the TAST Reference Chart.

I have tried the wheel but not the band. Thanks for a new idea!
I think the very best way of using this stitch is for a fan or shell! Something between the band and the wheel!
It can be used as a sort of halfway as well, going around a curve, creating a ribbed curved shape.

I like that idea, spokes instead of a wheel, even letting it curve, wow.

This gives me the idea to use it for an accordion, a high collar a la Queen Elizabeth I....

Another lovely stitch, which I also use from time to time.
I have used it in curves, wheels, fans and shells, but not as a band.
