Hi Queenie, lots of potential for playing with this stitch....Have you ever tried needle weaving like Reticello ? I have this yearning at the moment to try it out ! Hope you are well.....raining heavily here in the UK......Have a great week end Queenie ! hugs Chris R xx
Good evening, Chris. It is nearly 7pm here in Tokyo and it has cooled down a bit after a very warm day. I had to Google Reticello to see what it is. Wow! Beautiful needle weaving. No, I have never tried anything like that and look forward to seeing YOUR work! You, too, have a rest of the week end.
Great to see this stitch on Aida, I was thinking it wouldn't work. I do hope to find time to stitch my sampler tomorrow, it's time to catch-up on TAST!
I was wondering too, and as you can see the chain stitch has to sit on top of the end of the tail for this stitch to work on Aida. It becomes a kind of Rice stitch!

Easy and fast, this would be great on a cq block.

Snap, I've been doing that stitch today, and you're right it is easy.
Another lovely sampler, I'll use this stitch for my next CQ block.

You win and I accept my defeat! The stitch would look great on plain fabric, too, growing wild.
You can add so many other stitches to this one and make a really sumptuous cq seam.
This is a beautiful stitch, and I look forward to trying it out.
Thanks for posting. So glad you found it easy, I shouldn't have any trouble with it. That is when I catch up and get to it.
Annet of Fat-Quarter, has pointed out the other version.

Yes, I am sure you will have no problem with it.
That looks good. I'm not having the same success with my stitch on the ticking.
I'm sorry to hear that. Did you try marking the ticking?
