It was Sharon Boggon of Pintangle who first introduced me to Work In Progress Wednesday. It is a good way to show the progress made during the week, in embroidery, in quilting, in dressmaking or sewing, in knitting, or indeed any creative activity.
It helps you to keep motivated and works both as a carrot and a whip. However, it is about the progress made in the last seven days.
Here I will break the rule and report on the progress I hope to make in the future, and a future without a seven-day limitation. I.e. I will report on what I have unpacked from my suitcase, things that I bought or was given during my recent trip to Sweden and the UK.
Stash Building
I bought myself a new book on Lattice Filling. I was also given a stack of old books on embroidery and dyeing (not in this picture).
There is also a good pack of window cards, some needles, templates, marker pens, cotton and wool fabric, plenty of thread (wool, cotton, silk, linen...).
I was given a charming pouch with a seagull in Bayeux Embroidery and the most exquisite little Amish quilt:
I am so lucky.
I hope to report on progress made from my stash, as I have not taken one single stitch this last week.
