WIPW - At Last

Work In Progress Wednesday.

Log Cabin Challenge

Phew! At last I took the final stitch and completed the task of assembling the 360 Log Cabin blocks into a flimsy. It now covers the entire day bed, and has a nice overhang, too.

First I made the last 12 blocks,

Then attached them to the previous 48.

and then to the entire quilt.

The next job will be to give it a wee bit of a press, sandwich it with the batting and back, and baste it together.

Wow, that was a lot of work! Looks like I will be last to meet the challenge. I have yet to baste the kotatsu cover that took over the floor. The space is too small to move around the edge and I have put off crawling across it. I really need to get myself fired up so I can move on.

Congratulations! Your Log Cabin blocks are super!
And the blocks do 'shimmer.'

The prettiest Log Cabin block quilt I have ever seen. Your dedication to keep it growing, while you have other projects and work, has certainly paid off. It should be entered in a quilt competition.
I love it.
