Thank you for understanding I needed an extra week for my homework. This Sunbonnet Sue took some time to make, but it was fun.
Sue really needs to relax and has taken up yoga. Where better to practice than under a blossoming cherry tree when no one is around - social distancing and peace of mind!

It takes some time and patience to get the tension even, but once mastered, this stitch looks like knitting.

164 Satin Threaded Running Stitch
An easy stitch obviously, but it can still look striking. Think different colour, different thread, different weight, different length, or why not two pairs of legs for the same Running Stitch - wouldn't you have a headless four-legged animal? Just add a French Knot and the horse is ready for your carrot!
Here is a wild stitch, the wilder the better, I guess.

Although this is not a stitch known for counted work, it does look best of a gridded fabric like Aida.
Aida Sampler
Here is a stitch often used in stumpwork. It is also good for filling in larger areas, but can be used as a band, too. It looks like knitting.
Other names are: Peruvian Knitting, Knitting Stitch.
