This is certainly a nice version of the Lazy Daisy Stitch.

Great samples. You can get so many different looks, depending on the number of lazy daisy stitches, how far our you weave, the type and color of thread, and the ground fabric. Very pretty!
The Aida sampler- WOW! I like the variety of the Scribble Cloth blooms and use of a variegated thread.
It offers some interesting variations, doesn't it!
Woven Longtailed Lazy Daisy stitch is a stitch with many possible variations. I can see that tweaked a little it could be used as a fancy border.
I see suns and then I see stars. It's a stitch with many applications.
