Carrot or whip

Sharon at Pintangle has offered another great service - to share our work in progress on a weekly basis. I think this could be the answer to my dilemma of starting a project and then slowly loosing pace and interest/enthusiasm for it until it has turned into a dusty UFO. It will be my personal carrot or whip to complete things.

I have already shown a bit of work on my bias tape quilt here, here, here, here, here, here and here.

Since then I have completed the embellishment on the print border and this now becomes the first show and tell on Work In Progress Wednesdays Sewing Bee:

Quilting in gold thread, beads and pink pearls.

This is looking love;y Queenie, I must spend some time browsing further back on your blog when I have a few spare hours.
Missed about the work in progress, or maybe the memory is playing up again, do have trouble with that these days!

I can't wait to see this when it's finished - so far I love the details!

Hi and thank you!
Yes, I think Sharon's idea of showing off our work this way will be a delicious carrot, or a smarting whip! I am sure either way will work with me!

Please forgive me Marie, but my middle name is Tease; and I have not posted anything with a full picture of this quilt yet. You need to be patient with me!

Hi Margaret! On my old, now very rusty and crumbling blog there are a few entries and I have given links to them on 'The China Tea Cuo Border' post on this blog. However, I have not blogged much about this quilt. Work on it has constantly been interrupted... The story of my life?

The details you show are wonderful! This quilt will be gorgeous! I enjoyed your quilts on your blog! They are all hand quilted as far as I can see! I admire you! Happy about discovering you and your blog! Happy Stitching! Claudia

Thank you for your kind words. I have always loved sewing and needlework and moved from embroidery to quilting and am now trying to combine the two. Most of my quilts are 100% handmade but if I make a children's play quilt that needs to be washed often I would machine stitch (but hand quilt) it. My sewing machine is dusty and put away most of the time.
I am happy to have you visiting my blog!

If I were not already a Follower on your Blog Queenie, I would join right now.
I love your quilting endeavours and the quality of your work.
So beautiful and like everyone else, look forward to the day the Quilt is completed.

Good for you for taking up Sharon's Wednesday WIP, Queenie! Your bias tape quilt photos show some very nice work. I scrolled back some and would love to see a full view of the quilt! Could it have been on your previous blog? Is there a link?

I really like all the lovely comments that you so loyally place on my blog! I have the comments coming to my email and would love to be able to reply to them personally, but your email address is not enabled in your profile. Makes you what's commonly known as a 'no-reply blogger'. If that's your intention, it's OK. So, maybe you would consider sending me your email address privately.

Hi Debbie!
I am a novice Blogger blogger and learn new tricks daily. Thank you for letting me know about being a 'no-reply blogger'. That I do not want to be and hope you will now find my email address in the About Me slot.

Sorry, but there is no full view of the bias tape quilt, yet. Neither here nor on my previous blog. Just be patient, please!
