WIPW - Covering Up

Hello, here is this week's Work In Progress Wednesday report.

Log Cabin Challenge

I quilted 19 blocks, marked in orange on the grid. It has taken me 11 weeks to get this far. How much longer will it take to complete the quilting, I wonder?

Sunday Stitch School Stitch Sampler

The two linear stitch lines I made last week were a bit too thick. Where they joined the thinner lines didn't look good. I covered up the joints with orange circles made with my nifty circle appliqué tool. Then added the following stitches in purple: #176 Buttonhole Cross Stitch for the dots, #96 Buttonholed Fly Stitch (on the left) and #91 Double Fly Stitch (on the right).

Nineteen blocks is quite a lot. I always find it hard to predict how long projects like this will take because some weeks I have more free time than others. You are making good use of your circle tools.

Your improvisation piece is developing nicely, lots of lovely variation!

Good progress on your Log Cabin blocks! And your embroidered floral arrangement is looking fabulous with the additions.
Orange is one of my favorite colors.

Considering all the other projects you have, I'm amazed you have achieved so many additions to the quilt. The orange flower looks natural there and the Buttonhole stitches all are lovely. I don't think I have ever done a Double Fly before.

So pretty! The buttonhole stitch looks like tatting!
