Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival 2020 - Part 1

It's that time of the year again - the time of Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival.

Here is just an appetiser to give you a taste of what quilts can be seen at this year's Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival.

Funky bags by Aya Tanabe/田辺彩

Simple Sheaf Stitch and Colonial Knots are perfect on this Crazy Quilt quilt by Matsuko Sugi/杉松子.

Charming and impeccable watering can and flowers by Yuki Taniguchi/谷口由紀

Beautifully made red and white quilt by Kiyomi Noro/野呂清美
She must have spent ages collecting red fabric / the variety was amazing.

Much more tomorrow!

Yes, thanks for 'taking us along'. I'm always awed over the hand work at that show.
Exciting.

The thing I love most about walking through the show with you is that you notice all the little details around you ... even in the aisles jammed with people.

I agree with Julie - you have a practiced eye for detail and it's always interesting to see things from your point of view! So nice seeing you at the quilt show!
