Ha! I was wrong!
I felt it was very tedious after having made a few.
As the basic Cross Stitch is just wrapped you have to control the working thread all the time.
I know I much prefer any buttonholed stitch as the knot controls the thread.
Well these are my Wrapped (and Wonky) Crosses:

Sunday Stitch School Reference Chart
Teal Wool Tailoring Scribble Cloth
As you can see, the more crosses I wrapped the sloppier the work got. A sure sign of boredom and nonchalance!
I hope anyone who tried this stitch liked it better than I did!

There are some stitches you take to and there are some you don't. You'll probably not use that one again!

I like those stars and love to embroidery however never take the time anymore
Yes, fiddly, exasperating, but possibly useful!
The wrapped cross stitches are basically boullion right?
And Karen Ruane at Modern Embroidery, can whip those up fast.
I like the 'wonky' stitches, full of personality.
I will have to have a go at this one.
Looks like a lot of extra work to me.
Very interesting that you wrap the cross stitch arms - I would have thought from the photo that they were two long bullions. I imagine it would be tedious and hard to keep the tension right!
