18th Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival 2019 - 1 Introduction

THE annual quilt show in Japan has opened in Tokyo Dome.
I went there today, and will post more pictures later. Here are just a few to start with:

It was crowded!

The winning quilt by Hitomi Mishima (三島仁美) was red and made out of kimono silk.

We saw a lot of houses!

As I said, more pictures, more text and more impressions later.

I hope you got to see even more with Pamela, though I imagine Sunday might have been just as crowded as Saturday. It was a great show, and meeting up with friends, the frosting on the cake!

Great opportunity!
And beautiful red quilts, and more to come.

I can't imagine the patience and skill of those who create such intricate quilts.
Not only they but the public viewing them get great pleasure.

It was really crowded. With so many people interested in quilting and needlework, there should be another show, maybe in the summer.
