Although this stitch is not difficult, it IS hard to get it even. It doesn't take the curves too well, I think...

I don't remember doing that one and if you find it hard to get it even then it would be impossible for me to.
The different samples are very interesting. It shows differently on the different fabrics and the straight lines vs. the curves.
As with all stitches, making it do what you want means balancing the size of the thread with the size of the stitch, and sometimes the sweet spot, as it were, isn't quite where you thought it was. Hence all the experiments we end up performing!
