Friday Homework for Lesson 77: Tied Herringbone Stitch

This homework was done in a jiffy. So easy and fun!

Sunday Stitch School Reference Chart

 Aida Sampler

Teal Wool Tailoring Scribble Cloth

What did I learn?
That a thinner and lighter coloured thread should be used for the Coral Stitch part on top of the Herringbone base.

It's always worth playing with different scales of thread, isn't it!

Always love to see what you try and to learn from your experiments and samples. Yay!

It's interesting to see the different looks with different threads.

Lovely stitching and good color mix.
You inspired me to start a cathedral window sample!

Interesting samples. The brown on blue threads give a 'barbed' appearance which would be good for seaweed and branches. The Aida sample has perfect tension - something I couldn't quite do.
I agree the thin on heavy shows both stitches well.
I like them all.
