Looks like it is reaching out with bird talons to get into the act!
It is a stitch which looks better when it's even and neat, so evenweave or even aida are good fabrics. But it's a very pretty stitch in all situations!
I like that stitch a lot too. It looks really great with long arms on a CQ.
I like that stitch and it has many possibilities as a filler or as a botanical look.
