Friday Homework for Lesson 277 - Open Back Stitch

 The procedure when making the Open Back stitch is exactly the same as for Hoshidome Stitch, apart from the length of each individual stitch. The former is longer, like the basic Running Stitch, whereas the latter is just a small dot. Compare:

The pro is that it is far sturdier than the Running Stitch,  the con, that is uses up a lot of thread.

If you'd not said it was open back stitch I would have thought it was running stitch.
