Do you remember Stitch #4, Danish Knot? You can read about it here and also see that I got inspiration from 'Totsuka Embroidery Stitch Book No 6' which has 71! variations of the stitch.
It is one of those variations I will introduce to you today.
It is worked in a continuous line, thin or wide, similar to a braid.
Work away from you like this:
From here you start all over again.
Repeat as before.
And we are back at the start of a new stitch again.
When worked in thick thread and large stitches it is easy to see that you have two legs to the left (up in the picture below) and one to the right (down in the picture).
Homework:
Well you know... add German Knotted Braids to these samplers.

I'm glad I didn't have to spend my Sunday figuring out that one. Even on a Monday morning it looks rather complicated.

This is a nice border stitch, it's new to me.
I like the close up with turquoise thread. It reminds me of a croissant or a dinner roll shaped in a knot.

I like this stitch. I had to keep my mind on the placement but it quickly became easier. I like the way your last sample has space between. My work needs more space I think, so I'll do more today.
