Friday Homework for Lesson 252: Annet's Pulled Triangle

Oh, this is a lovely stitch and has its own pleasant rhythm. Once you have got into the pace you can do this stitch in 'autopilot'.

Linen Sampler

It was nice to put some stitches in this linen sampler again - it's been such a long time.

I could have pulled harder, but wanted to retain the triangular shape.

Mottled Wool Scribble Cloth

Don't the stitches in variegated thread look fun? Annet's Pulled Triangle looks good on a curve, too.

Aida Sampler

Maybe the distance between the upper and lower triangles is a bit too big, Well, that is the limitation of Aida and her fixed holes!

Sunday Stitch School Reference Chart

It's easy to work the rows in different thread or thread colour.

Thank you Annet for your tutorial and inspiration.

Beautiful.😆
I think you have perfect control over the triangle.

It's fun to see your experiments with this stitch. I've been searching for it in my Dutch embroidery books to find it's name. I found it yesterday in an old book from my mother. It has no real name, they called it "vlakvulling van driehoekjes" in Dutch. This translates to English as tesselation of triangles.

That linen looks so yummy to stitch upon.

The stitch changes character completely on linen, doesn't it!
