There is a wealth of embroidery stitches, designs and stitch combinations in India. Lots of them can be found on the internet, on various blogs or on Youtube.
I came across today's stitch at Let's Learn Embroidery and it is called Pointed Tip Buttonhole Knot Flower. It is a version of the Buttonhole Bar Stitch.
Check it out at the link above.
Here is my photo tutorial:
Use two threads in the needle, go from A to B.
in at A again.
..........................
Another method is to use ONE strand of thread in the needle.
Then you need to make TWO straight stitches, of course.
Turn the work and fill the lower thread with Buttonhole Stitch.
When you come to the end, if you anchor the stitch at D, instead of at A,
you will get a mirrored look of the two sides, instead of a stem.
Let flowers bloom on these samplers.

Very pretty!
Very three-dimensional and cute.
But It's a stitch that I can't well now.
I recently started practicing embroidery.
And I'm overwhelmed by the big difference between seeing and actually doing it.😨
That's lovely little stitch - how very effective!
Yes, very three dimensional and what a sweet little flower it makes up!
Good tutorial Queenie, thank you.
What a pretty little stitch?
