Methodist knot stitch! Where did you find that one? Must do research.
That would be sturdier than a plain running stitch I think.

Your aida sampler is looking neat. Perhaps you should have had double the homework this week with it being so simple? lol

I like the evenness of a he aida, but I also see that you could make a shape or outline because it curves well.

It would have possibilities done in repeated rows as a variant of darning stitch, too...

Getting the stitch length and spacing even might be harder than it looks. There are those who think "big-stitch" quilting is easier too.
