18th Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival 2019 - 5 Flowers

Are there any quilt shows in Japan where there are no floral quilts? I don't think so, so have a look at these:

 Akiko Matsumura (松村章子)

 Yumiko Okazaki (岡埼由美子) used a milliard of Suffolk Puffs (Yo-yos) and basket fabric.

Toyoko Nakajima (中島豊子) used a thin cotton fabric with denim pattern for her background. 

 Mikami Izumi's (泉美香理) delicate quilt is like a lady's handkerchief.

For the love of reading, Korean Haejoo Shim, added a book with a hanging book mark.

 Sachiko Chiba (千葉幸子)

 Mariko Miwa (三輪眞理子) calls her quilt 'Flower Garden of Kelmscott House', the home of William Morris.

There are flowers in the sea, too, on these whales by Yasuko Kawaguchi (川口康子). The sea made up of Mola reverse appliqué is fantastic, too.

Yoshimi Umemoto (梅本よしみ) made these wisterias out of kimono silk.

This Baltimore Album quilt was flawless!

 Let's not forget that floral quilts can be in taupe!
Noriko Nakamura (中村憲子)

Add a bit blue to taupe and you get indigo. Flowers look good this way, too. Michiko Takemoto (竹本美智子) proved it.

Finally, where do flowers really belong? On crazy quilts, of course.
