Friday Revision Homework - Stitches 26-30

May I present my revision homework for the last five Sunday school Stitches.

I used the stitches to make this Sunbonnet Sue. She is a 'Twiggy' adult version, and no wonder on a diet of carrot juice and celery.
She must be somewhere hot as she is standing in a bucket of ice water.

Please note, her belly button is made of a Colonial Knot, the rest consist of:

The zig zag stitch makes an interesting fabric

Looking at her lovely figure I think I could use a copy of that diet!! She is great.

How adorable! Sue knows how to cool off!
Great, fun use of stitches Queenie.

Yes, I was especially pleased with the bikini.

She was fun to make! I just wish we had a bit of sunny weather here in cloudy, muggy Tokyo.

Well, think about it. The chubby little girl watches all these skinny super models and curses the stodgy cooking of her childhood. Now she wants to be like one of those slim gals, with push-up bras and a daily intake of max 1200 kcal!

She might be slim, but she is not healthy. Look at her pale skin (lack of vitamin D so she has frail bones), silicone bust (the inserts need to be removed when she is an old lady) and the stud in her navel (copper that has already turned green with vertigis).

Yes, she has cold feet!

I have never seen Sue dressed like this before she looks great

Beautiful Sue sunbonnet, I love Hérin swim suit.

There are plenty of Sunbonnet Sue patterns where she sits on the beach with pail and scoop building sandcastles. Maybe my Sue is little Sue's mother?

It was fun to do an adult version of the Sue on the beach playing in the sand.

I love the idea of Sunbonnet Sue growing up to be Twiggy!

I agree, the Zig-zag stitch makes a nice pattern, and I like the Half Bullioned Chain frill on the bikini, too.

I think quite a lot of little girls who have 'puppy fat' want to become slim Hollywood stars, or in the 70s, super skinny like Twiggy.

Love your Sue! And your stumpwork is great.

Thank you. I will need to make a traditional Sue next time, for balance, and not to hurt the Sunbonnet Sue Fan Club.
The stump work was fun to make.
