Swedish Wool Embroidery Collar
I have worked another flower designs on the collar:
I am rather pleased with this particular design as I am sure there is no such flower in nature. Pure fantasy!
Swedish Cushion
On the cushion front I have added the following to the centre line:
TAST #49 Knotted Feather Stitch (yellow)
#38 Knotted Loop Stitch (light brown)
Here are some #57 Sailors Edge Stitch. The hollows will be filled with some stitch later on.
At the Festival of Quilts I meet up with Margaret and showed her the cushion. I am pleased to say she approved of how it looks, and I must say it does look better in reality than in these pictures. This blue fabric that I am stitching on is IMPOSSIBLE for the camera to capture properly. Compare the blue in the picture above and below, neither is the true blue! Sigh!
TAST Reference Chart
Of course I added #124 Closed Herringbone

I love, love, love your flower! And the Swedish cushion has come so far! It is lovely.
yes everyone this cushion is so very beautifully stitched and on a lovely piece of fabric, so thrilled to have seen it thanks Queenie for bring it, likewise the collar is beautiful too
Thank you, Renee. I wonder how many more stitches I can squeeze into the cushion.
Sweet Margaret, Thank you for your kind words.

Love the new flower on your collar, the photos are great! And it's so good the see the cushion in all it's beauty. Margaret is a lucky lady!
Thank you for YOUR approval! It is really nice to let the needle do the work and think up fantasy flowers.
Yes, it would be fun to meet next year at FOQ!
Thanks! Yes I was pleased with the latest flower. I bet the next one will be a disappointment! I am running out of space on the cushion but want to add more TAST stitches, maybe in small doses.
Your your new flower on your collar is gorgeous and your cushion is coming along nicely. It's so frustrating when you can't get the phot to show the true colour of a piece isn't it?

I have the same problem photographing indigo fabric - it's just never true blue. But... your project is BEAUTIFUL!!
Yes, it saddens me that the true blue really is beautiful but the camera can never pick it up! I wonder what professional photographers do.
It is fun to find places on the cushion where the various TAST stitches would fit in. If possible I also want to balance them, one stitch on the left and a similar on the right, if you see what I mean.
I wonder why it is that some colours are so difficult to be caught by the camera. At the Festival of Quilts, many quilts were hung under a orangey-yellowy light and they looked totally different to the naked eye and in the camera view finder.
Really beautiful, interesting additions.
Your swedish cushion is wonderful.
Thank you, Séverine. I hope to have it finished soon!
Your cushion is looking gorgeous, so full of life and colour a brilliant design and stitches!
Thank you, Susan. Your encouragement is alway spurring me on. I have a 'free' day today and hope to add a lot of new stitches to the cushion.
I love your fantasy flower, so pretty!
Thank you. I am now in the process of thinking up some new ones!
