TAST 155: Beaded Alternating Feather Stitch

TAST stands for Take A Stitch Tuesday which is an online course of stitches on Sharon Boggon's Pintangle. Join in and learn. If you want to do it from scratch, there will be a rerun starting next year.
Read more about TAST here.
Learn how to stitch the Beaded Alternating Feather Stitch here.

As I have explained before, I want all the TAST stitches in one (private) collection and will give them the chronological number in the order I learn them.
So now it is time for Beaded Alternating Feather Stitch,  which I will call TAST #155.

The real advantage of this stitch is how much you can change it with the beads, isn't it!

I like these. I should probably do this stitch then I would use some of the many beads in my stash.

I was trying to pick a favorite combination of threads and beads, but failed. These all look amazing! Beautiful work.

The spacing of beads and thread is really good - shows the pattern well. Lovely colour combos too and I could tell they would curve beautifully. Lovely work Queenie.

Nice use of beads. They really dress up those stitches.

Feather stitch is already one of my favourites, love the added beads! They add such sparkle! Very pretty, Queenie!

Yes! I love Feather Stitch and it is nice to find ways to vary it. Beads always add dimension, and often sparkle and sheen, too.

Feather Stitch is one of the most common and best loved stitches Here is an easy way to add a bit variety to it, and make a dent in the bead stash.

Beads give a simple stitch such a lift!.

I can't pick a favorite either, but I do like the curved version on the Reference Chart.

Yes, you can still see it is a Feather Stitch in spite of the beads. I like the curve, too.

You are right. Beads are great to make a simple stitch look elegant or special.

It is always fun to try to add beads to those simple basic stitches we already know.
