WIPW - Flower and Herringbone

Work In Progress Wednesday, a way to show what progress you have made on the needlework front during a week, is led by Sharon over at Pintangle. Go to the latest post to read more.

Kafferepet
I have worked on the flower block and added quilting in Herringbone stitch, TAST #5.

Swedish Cushion
I've put in six circular stitches.
On the left, from the left:
#62 Raised Cross Stitch Flower, #40 Buttonhole Wheel Cup, #94 Reversed Buttonhole Bar (worked in a circle with spikes)

On the right, from the left:
This is also the #94 Reversed Buttonhole Bar, (worked in a circle, but with the spikes meeting in the centre), #11 Whipped Wheel and #85 Raised Cup

I really like the way those buttonhole stitches work in a circle. I like that chain underneath too.. Have a very happy Christmas.

Thanks, Chris. In no way can they compete with your circles, after all you are the Mandala queen.
Wishing you the best of Christmases.

Yes, aren't they neat?! You can change the look around so much by stitching in curves instead of straight lines.
Enjoy your Christmas.

Then Margaret, give me a lot of time for a Christmas present! The progress is slow as I have so many other things to deal with and is constantly disrupted.

Likewise, I am looking forward to your work. What are your plans for 2014?

Thank you, I am having a great holiday; just wish I had more time to stitch. The circles were fun to make.

The busiest time in Japan starts today - preparing for the New Year holiday, the most important in Japan. I will have only limited time for stitching.
