The cherry trees in Toyo are at now their best, here against the glass architecture of a business complex
or placing a Buddhist temple in a cloud of pink petals
or prettifying the fishing boats near my home.
The cherries put me in a 'blossoming mood' and I made some fantasy flowers in felt for a birthday card.

what lovely blossom, we are still covered in thick snow here. The fantasy flowers have worked well on the birthday card Queenie.
Lovely to see the cherry blossom it must be getting warmer in Japan, still very very cold ---now -2
The card is so sweet! No blossoms on the trees here yet–just snow–which if you squint can look a bit like snow.
I think Tôkyô must be gorgeous with all these bloomed cherry trees !!
Your birthday card is lovely and so springly!!
I wish you a nice week,
Blessings,
Isa
When I see on the news, the kind of weather other parts of the world are getting, I think early cherry blossoms are the best option. Your little felt flowers are a cheery addition too.
Those cherry trees are so beautiful!
You made a lovely Dutch tulip, here almost nothing seems to bloom yet.
Very cute and beautiful card!
I love that little card. The weather here is very hot and humid, I have the aircon on full bore.
I have never experienced cherry blossoms in such cold conditions. I wonder how they dared open up!?
But it isn't. It is still ice age here, and you need long johns, double woollen socks, floor heating and a purring cat in your lap to keep warm.
The pale pink cherry blossoms would look like snow (if you squint). Soon the double cherries will begin to bloom, they are sharp pink and resemble small carnations, and will NOT look like snow.
Tokyo is an ugly and messy city but for a brief period in spring all the ugliness is hidden in a haze of pink!
You, too, have a good week.
They tell me it is still -15C at night in Stockholm. Brr! I shouldn't complain about Tokyo's temperatures.
Oh, I didn't realise it was a Dutch tulip, but of course it is. I must be getting all this inspiration from my TAST friends in Holland!!!!
Thank you! It had to be quick job. Felt is good for 'cheating'.
Although I am complaining about the cold here, I much prefer it to the heat and humidity you have. Soon Tokyo will be sweltering and unbearable, the threads get frizzy and tangle up, the fingers too sweaty to handle fine fabric...
