Sunday Stitch School - Lesson 222: Detached Chevron Stitch

Welcome to stitch 222 - isn't it amazing that we have found so many stitches? Partly it is because we are using variations of basic stitches. Today's stitch is just such an alternative, the detached version of Chevron Stitch.

I found it at Fa's Kitchen, have a look at Fareeha's instructions here.

This is my photo tutorial for Detached Chevron Stitch:

This should be easy and quick.

Homework:
Sprinkle the samplers with Detached Chevrons.

It really is amazing that so much can be done with needle and thread. The possibilities are endless!

Your added Canvas Stitches are beautiful, the Vault Stitch is fancy! And I like the Triple Chain, bold. Good choice to add the Detached Chevron into your stitch menagerie.

Now, that's sweet! Isn't it odd that we have to be reminded to think of the detached version of line stitches like this..

It looks like a little person with a hat.

The vast number of stitches is hard to contemplate. How will you know when you have reached the end? Maybe begin with Japanese characters...
