This year I made a white crane, a ball and a disc with rick-rack.
In total I now have 73 ornaments.

Gosh, the mobile of ornaments has grown. What happens when they touch the table? When do you find time to make these as well all the other tasks you have?
The crane is elegant and the ball and disc are both great additions.
I think a month is rather long; we never display Easter decoration for such a long time, do we?

I am so glad you showed me the plastic discs at the show. It was quick work stretching fabric over them, then stitch on a ric-rac and join themLooking forward to seeing yours, but don't push yourself too hard.
Well, they will not grow in length but in width, I mean I will probably have to add another, larger ring.
When to make them, sleepless nights?
Sure beats setting up those steps and arranging hina dolls! Maybe I need to start thinking about making some. They would take up less room, at least and be easier to store. Norie makes them for friends with new babies.
They do take less space when stored, but the strings tangle up badly. Finally last year I got the idea of bagging each string of ornaments in a plastic bag. Success! No more tangles.
That sun wonderful idea of Norie's. maybe she could make a set for her Mummy, too!?

In districts where these Hina dolls originate from, there are usually several mobiles with dolls in one room, a jungle of dangling chirimen and kimono scraps. To reach that level I have a LONG way to go!
Its a great hanging. I remember you showing last years creations and I thought it would be great to make something like that, well I still haven't.

Yes, it is a real cat teaser! You will have to hang the mobile high or behind a glass door.

Your hina display is wonderful! Bravo for making so many of the pretty stuffed ornaments, that crane looks like it is a lot more difficult than the paper ones!
