WIPW - Roses

It is a hot summer here and my Work In Progress Wednesday, is just a short report.
Why not head over to Sharon's WIPW to see more eye candy from others, as well as what she wrote about various uses of her cz stencils, mine one among them.

Kafferepet

I have made two more stray stems by using my cz stencils and TAST stitches #27 Basque Stitch and #20 Butterfly Chain

Then I played with the #73  Wrapped Coral Stitch on the edge of the rose petals. There are some Pistil stitches and Colonial Knots, too.

Lovely, as ever, I really like the variegated fabric you've used for the petals on the largest rose.

What a lovely addition you have made by using the different stitches, the flowers look great!

The fabric for the leaves is actually a Christmas print. Have you ever seen rose leaves with fir needles!

Thank you Margaret. The stencils are really great for getting even markings.

There are three different fabric, one of them is a lovely batik from the States.

This stitch was so much fun to do, I had to keep using it, so it ended up on the petals as well!

Yes, I am afraid they have a life of their own!

Don't worry! It is me being slow in posting the comments and answering them.
That was a massive pdf full of combinations, so I am sure you will find the stencils fun to use.

This might become a TASTy coffee party quilt! It is great fun to try to add the various TAST stitches.

I love all the details! I find it hard to stop adding stitches. Do you ever feel like that?

Queeniepatch said...

Oh, yes! All the time; I actually have to restrain myself from overstitching.
