WIPW or rather WIPT

A day late I will have to call this Work In Progress Thursday.

I have ripped off almost all the paper from the back of

Trinity Green

Compare it with last week's picture:

I will have to go shopping for some wadding. Also I will have to check for any torn seams or other weak points. Then comes the sandwiching, basting, practicing machine quilting on some spare odd blocks, and finally the machine quilting. It will all take some time so let's see what progress can be made until next week Wednesday.

Boy that's taking some time to remove all that paper...

The quilt is going to be lovely, what kind of quilting pattern are you going to to?

How did this week go by so fast? How exciting to be ready to start sandwiching it together! Machine quilting is something I would like to learn, so I will be watching how you do it.

It's going well, and will go even better. On the home straight, I think!

You've come a long way! Congratulations.
I do enjoy seeing this come together.

Your second name must be Lady Patience. - Wonderful - "bon courage" for successful continuation. Love!

Yes, it has taken a long time, but I have been short of time.

Queeniepatch said...

It will be something very simple and basic as I have little, ney, almost no, experience of machine quilting.

It went by fast because of too much work! I've been exhausted by other things and hope the weekend will give me time to play with the quilt.

I certainly hope I will have the patience and energy, and time, to put together the last parts of making this quilt. End of the tunnel?

Queeniepatch said...

Thank you. Unlike you I have taken a long time to put this quilt together.

Or Lady 'Taking-on-Too-Much'. I didn't think it would take THIS long to come this far! Now for the last spurt.

I like your comment about how long it took. Having done this myself, tearing out those papers, I thought you would be in for a time of it. Still you are there. Congratulations.

Queeniepatch said...

I hope it will arrive soon!

The quilt flimsy is so much lighter, and easier to handle too, without the stiff paper.

You know how tedious this kind of work can be, but it is a great project for 'pockets of time'. I often have 3-4 minutes when I can rip out some paper and then turn to the next chore.
