WIPW - A good week

It has been a good week on the needle and thread front. Here is my Work In Progress Report.

Trinity Green
I've stitched 366 of triangles on the paper strips. Total count of triangles is now 1107.

HC
I ironed freezer paper to the back of the white fabric I am going to use for the HC quilt. This will keep it stable while I transfer the design.
I pinned the fabric to the sketch and placed it on the light box. After I had turned on the light I was ready to trace the design onto the fabric. You can see a tiny bit of the drawing there.

TASTy Tuesday, second helpings
This new project will be reported on on Tuesdays, but I am adding it here, today, just to show one more piece of progress. 7 stitches out of 140, that means 133 to go!
Now why did I choose green???
The Lazy Daisy Stitches in the last row are in turquoise so I'll continue in that shade, then turn to blue, I think...

OOh boy have you been busy. Those triangles are looking good and so is the sampler.

You're making fantastic progress on your quilt and the finished thing is bound to be stunning-like emeralds scattered on a bed! I do like foundation piecing, all those perfectly sharp points are so satisfying.

great progress on triangles. A nice tip to iron on the freezer paper. green turning to blue- this TAST challenge is definitely interesting.

Freezer paper is frequently used in Western countries for appliqué and piecework. For me, I usually use it to keep fabric stable so I can draw or paint without the fabric puckering. It is a great help.

I haven't worked on a quilt for a long time and it is rewarding to have this in the making, but the actual stitching is very boring! I really hope this quilt will look like 'emeralds scattered on a bed'!

It is nice to have both fast machine work and slow and satisfying hand work to switch between.

Yes, I had a lot of different prints and hopefully the quilt will look calm but busy, at the same time.

All those lovely greens - for me it is the best colour of all. I like how you did the Lazy Daisy stitches a little diagonal and am satisfied that you will go over slightly to blue and then we will see further....

You must have a lot of patience to do all those triangles!

Good progress. I've had to work this week so far, but I'm looking forward to time off, then I'll get busy on projects.

Yes, it was a good week. I hope my fortune continues!

Soon my dreams, or night mares, will become tinted in green!

So far I still feel sane, but one day they might drive me crazy!!!

After a week of hard non-stitchy work, our needlework projects are even more enjoyable. I hope you'll soon have that time off.

Paper Foundation is a smart way to get the same size for each triangle, AND you don't need to be concerned about if the fabric is cut on the bias or straight as there is very little stretch (the paper prevents it).

Yes, it was a productive week. Unlike others I did not need to move house or start a new job!!!

Thanks. I've managed to stitch another batch of triangles today.

Beautiful TAST stitches. Your green project is going to be amazing. (I'm already amazed. That is a lot of triangles!) I look forward to seeing your next update.

If you are amazed now, you'll be even more so when the project is completed.
