WIPW - Ticking Off Things To Do

In last week's Work In Progress Wednesday, I listed the next steps for the

Hexablooms

quilt.

I have already ticked off a few steps. Some other steps are progressing well, too.

The flimsy is hung up against the wall. This means it is easy to see to fill in the blocks on my graph. It will help me with the quilting and embroidery. I have now filled in 1/3 of all blocks on the paper.

Furthermore, I have bought batting and fabric for the back of the quilt. The fabric will have to be washed and ironed, as there is a bit too much sizing in it.

I have also drawn more hexagon templates ready to cut out. There is also a pile of fabric to be basted over the template cards. These will be used for the turned-over edge.

Sunday Stitch School Reference Chart

The #380 Valerian Stitch was the last stitch on the reference chart, which is now full and needs to be prepared with stitch numbers and names, pressed and have its supporting fabric (butterfly print) removed.

Then a new, empty chart has to be ready to work #381 and other stitches to come.
