Work In Progress Wednesday, well soon to be Thursday...
Crazy for Crazy
I has been a hectic week, but I managed to put the binding border on the Guinness block.
I then sorted out fabric and some thread for the next block. What shall I call this colour scheme?
Vanilla and lavender ice cream?

Or berries and cream?
Your Guiness block is my favorite so far.
Another fun adventure!
Lovely. The only name I can think of for the new block is lavender sherbet.
I have been following your crazy patchwork blocks, they are beautiful. Looking forward to seeing the next one. I have heard that lavender ice cream is quite tasty.
I like your new color scheme. The lavender soft creme in Hokkaido is wonderful and I'm sure your block will be too!
a very pretty block.
Thank you. I have enjoyed making every one, but this one was special.
Lavender is delicious as well as fragrant. I have not had lavender ice cream but lavender scones and they were great.
It was just my imagination - I have never tasted lavender ice cream myself, but lavender scones are great, so why wouldn't it be a good ice cream flavor, too.
Yes, that sounds delicious, too.
Good choice, I wonder if I should use the red purple (raspberry ice cream) or blue purple (blueberry ice cream) on this block. I have to narrow down the range of purple.
Another lovely hexagon completed.
I can almost taste the berries and cream. I've never heard of lavender ice-cream or scones... sounds interesting.
Lavender is popular in Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan, and also in Norfolk, UK.
I love this block! How about purple haze for the next one?
Violet cream, maybe?
Well done with Guinness, though!
Oh, there are now so many suggestions! I will pick a name once I have got started and begin to 'see' what an appropriate name would be.
I was thinking of violet, it is a popular ice cream flavor in Sweden. I have never seen it in the UK, nor in Japan.
Oops, I meant to comment here yesterday, but all this talk of lavender foods distracted me ..... I was off looking for my old herbal cookbook where there were a few lavender recipes..... but then I found we’d had a clear out and it was gone!
Oh my goodness, all the suggestions sound wonderful!
Your Guinness block is gorgeous, and the next colour scheme looks dreamy! Oooh, how about Purple Dream!

Thank you for your input.
My friends in Norfolk treated me to homemade lavender scones, and I have also had some at a stately home (National Trust Tea Rooms) but I can't remember where. I often drink lavender herbal tea here in Tokyo.
In this block the fabric is cream and the embellishments will be 'lavender'. Purple dream, yes, it is certainly a soft colour scheme. I will have a think.
