While making the yellow Madam Totsuka's Tasselled Chain Stitch flowers I came up with the idea of using a pin to make the loops even.
I am pleased with this trick and will update my instructions of #64 Madam Totsuka's Tasselled Chain (10th June, 2018).
Now you can see that the 'boob' is really a knee!

I love the way you sooo cleverly use all these stitches, and the rubbing blocks made a great pattern on Sue’s dress!
What a brilliant idea for keeping the tassels even, Queenie!

Sunbonnet Sue on her knees in the garden, it's that time of year!
Good idea to hold the loops with a pin to get that even look.
And the blue dots on her dress, another fun technique.
I felt very smug when came up with the pin trick!
Actually it is too hot to be a scene from Tokyo, there can't be any flowers left in the garden, but then this is a picture from Sue's childhood, and I wonder where she lived then.... Oh it is fun to think up stories!
Sue is so sweet and all those sstitches look good.
Thank you. For once I have made something traditional!
Delightful. And the pin trick is a very good one - well done!
The pin made it so much easier to stitch!
Clever idea. and those stitches are perfect for flowers.
The tasseled flowers are quite cute aren't they?
It's a pity I missed all these pretty stitches, I'm trying to come back to stitching and blogging. I like this Sue very much.
I hope you have the opportunity to start stitching again - it is so relaxing and enjoyable.
Look after yourself.
Oh well done with the clever pin trick, Queenie. This method is far easier. The flowers and fringe are perfect. Sue looks very relaxed and happy in the garden.
fabulous
