WIPW - Good Progress

I have a lot to show for Work In Progress Wednesday this week.

Crazy for Crazy
is getting dressed up.

Compare last week's progress with the present state.

 More 'bling' will be added!

It looks amazing—a real cornucopia of stitch and embellishment! I didn't comment at the time, but found your post on buttonhole/blanket stitch fascinating (I've earmarked it for future reference). I can never really decide what the difference is between the two, but as you show, tailor's buttonhole stitch is very distinct, and there are different ways to do it.

Thank you for your kind words. I loved making the visible mending circle after the instructions in your book, and will decorate that area of the block even more. Rest assure I will add other tricks your book is teaching me in future blocks.
Yes, Tailor's Buttonhole is different from the Blanket/Buttonhole stitches because of the knot, and I knew that, but boy, I was surprised to learn there are so many ways to do this stitch.

Beautiful layers of colors, embroidery and textures Queenie.
I enjoy the stories and comparing of different stitches too.
Happy spring, your block reminds me of spring.

Thank you. I enjoyed piling on the decoration.
Spring? Oh, no, we had snow in Tokyo, in spite of the cherry trees blooming.

Thanks, I really enjoyed putting layer upon layer on this block.

I don't see how you could find room to add any more. Fantastic!

Oh, but you see on crazy quilt there is ALWAYS room for another embroidery!

You are making such an heirloom!

Bling, decoration, beads, pearls, metallic thread, buttons any thing that adds interest, glitter and 'pizzazz'.
Crazy quilting is really pile on as much as possible.

Thank you. This is very much a practical approach to studying of embroidery and embellishment. I hope to learn a lot of different things.

You have taken to CQ encrustation with enjoyment and originality of the TAST stitches too.
I like the FKs within the Whipped Chain stitching and the double Woven Bars/silk ribbon.
