This quilt is tucked up in an old sheet, well protected from moths and humidity, until September.
Swedish Cushion
I made a curvy line, a circle and a dot on the other side of last week's work.
The following TAST stitches were used:
Curve in #32 Linked Double Chain Stitch
Circle in #20 Butterfly Chain Stitch
Circle filled with #6 Chevron Stitch
A pendant of #71 Bullion Buttonhole Stitch (one with the Bullion spokes facing inwards and one outwards. I whipped the circle to clarify.)
Five TAST stitches are ticked off my list.TAST Reference Cloth
As I love purple I decided to work the reference stitches in DMC Perle 8 colour #552 and a greyish green #926 for the accents.
This is as far as I have worked this week; #1-#53
I am sorry to say I have had to look up a number of stitches as I could not for the life of me remember the instructions.

That cushion is looking lovely, so many different stitches! And as to having to look up some of the stitches, I have to look up MOST of the stitches. I'm blaming old age.
Great progress this week. The TAST reference sheet is definitely on my "to do" list, after seeing yours.
I love your chevron stitch filling. very neat work. the bullion buttonhole stitches are lovely. I am happy to see the TAST reference cloth has progressed so well. With over hundred stitches it is normal to look for the instructions. except for few stitches, others need to be referred to. It is hard to keep track. with this reference cloth it will be easier.

Your cushion is beautiful and the TAST stitch reference cloth such a good idea.
The slower I work on the cushion the more stitches I have to add!
Some stitches are easier to remember, I, too, think age has much to do with how much we remember!
I am sure convinced this ref cloth is going to be useful to me.
I have 'stolen' the idea for that Chevron filling from someone, but I can't remember now from whom.
I hope the ref chart will be useful when looking for a suitable stitch.
I am so glad TAST is not a school with examinations, tests and certificates!
Actually one could take any embroidery book and work the stitches used in the book for a ref chart. A Hardanger chart, a Hedebo chart, a Brazilian embroidery chart...
I am sorry to say I haven't visited Stitchin' Finger for a long time.
Please use the idea for a chart; I think it will be very useful for future projects.
If it HAD been a laidwork grid filling it would have been very Swedish indeed. Now it is a 'fake' Swedish cushion!

It is nice to make a 'library' of TAST stitches on the chart, and then use them in a real project like the cushion.
It IS hard to remember the name and the look of a stitch. Sometimes I do, but can absolutely not recall how to work the stitch. I hope this chart will help me.
More lovely colourful stitches on your cushion. I can see the sampler being very usuful for reference in the future, it is a great idea!
Not only in the future, the reference chart has already proven useful. I am so glad I finally got started on it.
