Swedish Cushion
Here I couched (TAST stitch #9) a turquoise viscose chainette from Oliver Twist with #15 French Knots in Ravenna, a rayon thread from the Kyoto based thread manufacturer Art Fibre Endo.

There is lots of work to do still on this cushion. Before I do any of that I'll tackle the Kafferepet quilt.
I am letting other family members take care of the household jobs, so hopefully I will have more stitching to show next Wednesday!
This cushion is going to be fabulous, the photos are great too! I know what you mean, about finding time to sew and blog about it–lately, I've only had time for work–hope the dust settles soon and I can get back to the sewing.

Well, needlework is a HOBBY and just has to take second fiddle from time to time, however much one might like it. From now on I think it can move up to first fiddle! I hope you will find the time for fibre fun, too, Elizabeth.

Thanks, Marci, it is kind of you to say so. Actually placing the French Knots on the couched thread was not easy! They are easy to use as individual stitches but are difficult to control for accuracy.
I hope from now on I will have the time and peace of mind for more stitch fun!

Yes, it is good to be back on track.
Don't you think rayon has a bit of personality? You can't really control it, and it can be frustrating to work with. However, the result is usually shiny, stylish and nice!
Now that we both have Karin Holmberg's book 'Stitched in Scandinavia' you might soon be recognising some of that type of embroidery design. Look out for På-söm around the circle, but worked in stranded floss instead of wool.
Your couching is a great combo with the triangular buttonhole stitch.
Couching was an early TAST 'stitch' and I have been wondering for a long time where to add it to the cushion. I think I found a good place!
