#104 is called Buttonholed Cable Chain and consists of a base stitch of Cable Chain onto whose chains buttonhole stitches have been worked. Do you follow?

A bead would fit beautifully on the link, so I expect one day there will be a Beaded Buttonholed Cable Chain...Let's just wait and see what Sharon says..

While admiring your Alternating buttonhole chain I realize I did not do this correctly. In fact I posted a photo with the work on one side only- definitely not alternating.
I will remedy that error shortly.
Both versions of yours are lovely and beading is an obvious choice.
good to see you are catching up, I am way behind you but think I might use the alternating one on my latest crazy block. Think it is more appealing than the other one and can see a bead would work well on the first row.

I think they are really neat, and wouldn't they be great combined with #58 Woven Detached Chain?
The way to do this stitch can be varied in so many ways, a much longer link stitch, with or without beads, the number of buttonhole stitches you add, on one side only or alternating. If worked in a wouldn't it be a stylish flower?
Now that the TAST stitches are getting more complex they are even more suitable for cq and embellishing. Please make use of them!
Yes, you will! This stitch is not only great, but quite easy, too. A lot of looks for very little input!

Neat stitches! The alternating buttonholed cable chain stitch makes a lovely wave.The names of the stitches are getting longer every time!
It looks a good stitch to do but it looks like it would take a lot of time to do.
Actually it is surprisingly easy and quick to do - a real trick stitch!
I loved both doing the stitches and the result. A lot of look for very little effort. The names are getting longer and longer; did you read Chitra's comment on Pintangle?
These look so good. So good that I think I had better start another sampler from stitch 101 onward. I wasn't going to but looking at your samples I can't stop myself.
