TAST #103 - Beaded Butterfly Chain Stitch

TAST stands for Take A Stitch Tuesday, a challenge at Pintangle, where you can find out more about  this stitch.

We learned the basic Butterfly Chain Stitch a long time ago, it is #20 on the list of TAST stitches.
Here is the beaded version. Neat, don't you think?

I have used Perle 5 and Swarovski Crystal Bicone beads.

you are so good at keeping up with the tast, and always have someting good to share, this is no exception, when I see what you have done it makes me feel guilty, will try and catch up on the stitches

Both stitches are so beautiful, good inspiration to use them in my next crazy block. Thanks, Queenie! :-)

Don't feel guilty - you have so many other wonderful projects to keep you busy!

I was given a huge stash of beads so it is good that many TAST stitches these days are beaded ones!

Hi, Claudia! I hope you are well and being busy stitching. The Butterfly Chain is easy to do and gives instant glamour.

Hello Chris,
The Butterfly Chain was fun to do when we first learned it, with beads it is even better! I collect all stitches on a sampler, then try to add them to a project. I will eventually also update my reference cloth. However, it all will have to wait. I'll be away for some time and won't be able to do any work... sigh...
Icy cold here, still...
Have fun!

I remember doing the butterfly chain stitch as part of TAST. It looks a lot prettier with beads! I'm really enjoying seeing all of your TAST stitches with beads this year. They are beautifully stitched. Enjoy your time away :)

These stitches are so effective, which means actually simple and great effect. You wond the prize for stitching speed.

Oh! Queenie these are lovely! I swung by to take a look and now want to get off the computer and go stitching!
Also I wanted to say you left a link to my blog in my comments (rather than to your blog) so I have changed the link to point to this post

I see why it is called butterfly stitch, looks like a row of butterflies. The beads look great.

Thank you, Maureen!

And it is easy to do, too! Please try it!

Thank you, Chitra.
I was given a lot of beads and crystals from someone who no longer wants to use them, just as Sharon started adding BEADED stitches to TAST. Perfect timing!
