TAST #84 Spiked Knotted Chain Stitch

TAST stitch #84 is called Spiked Knotted Chain Stitch and can be found at Sharon's website Pintangle, click here, to see and learn. Also check out what others have made.

This stitch looks complicated but is not hard to master. I enjoyed making these two rows, but has found no time to experiment.

This stitch makes me think of swans gliding along in a row... and if they were worked as detached stitches could be used in a picture...
If you want inspiration, check out Annet's old stitches:http://fat-quarter.blogspot.nl/2013/10/old-spiked-knotted-cable-chain-stitches.html

Neat rows! I do hope you find the time to experiment with this stitch.

Makes me think of musical notation. I'm always impressed by the amount of stitches you can do, and do well, think I know about 6!

Very nice! They do look like swans.

Queenie, very neat stitching. Looks like all your little ducks have lined up:-)

Ha, ha, yes these stitches look charming don't they?

Yes, I saw them, too!

Good thinking, Elizabeth. TAST has widen my stock of fun stitches, but I had a count the other day and found that I still do not 'know' many by heart - time for a revision and self-imposed test!

Thank you. Let's hope for some 'me-time', and yes, there is no new TAST stitch this week...

The stitch does look nice Queenie, especially the darker blue!

I think this stich has a lot of potential. Annet, a skilful needelworker in Holland has shown all sorts of combinations she used in a previous TASTchallenge. If I find time this week, I'd like to expand this stitch in a project.
