TAST # 79 Chained Cross Stitch

The latest TAST stitch is #79 Chained Cross Stitch and is a combination of a Half Cross stitch and a slanted Chain stitch.

I tried to work it in a mirror image:
The stitch definitely has much more potential than this and I am toying with the idea of how to use it in my WIPW embroidery...

Great work! I have tried this stitch today with a thicker silk yarn, looks quite different.
As we all know life can be very demanding. I missed you all and I missed my time for stitching. Hopefully all will be back to normal for a while.

My time for stitching is very limited at the moment, but I do try to post my TAST stitch before a new stitch has been announced. I have not had much chance to do a proper project with each stitch.

I am sure the stitch will take on another look with a different thread or yarn. I hope you will find at least a bit of time each day to take a few stitches. For me just five minutes, and I feel satisfied even on the most hectic of days.
Hope to see more work on your blog soon!

That one definitely has possibilities. I think I even heard it calling, "try me"!

As always, you have a creative way to present the stitch!

What a relief, Julie, to know I'm not the only one who can hear stitches talk!

I don't know about that, but thank you anyway, Pamela!

I am quite sure this stitch will work its way into the WIPW embroidery; there are some new lines to fill with a linear stitch and this could be it!
Have you tried the stitch yet?

The mirrored embroidery works very well. I'm looking forward to see what you do with this stitch on your WIPW embroidery!

It was good exercise for my brain to work in mirror image!
I hope to use the stitches for a line on the WIPW project.

Thanks, Barbara.
TAST and WIPW are great whips, or carrots, to get things done. I don't want to push everything into the future...
