TAST #76 Vandyke Stitch

It's TAST time again, we've reached #76, the Vandyke Stitch, which is new to me. Go to Pintangle to learn how to do it and take part of the TASTfun.
Oh, what a delightful stitch! It has flow, structure, curves well and can become 'organic' and plant like or stay stiff as a poker. If I have anything to complain about it is that it is hungry and eats thread!

While sitting on a park bench in one of London's lovely gardens my needle just went on and on stitching. You see the colours of the border. They will give you a hint to where the pictures in the textile quiz were taken!

This is a beautiful stitch, it is nice that you can relax with your stitching in the park. Good luck at the show and I hope that you are able to find Margaret!

So criptic!
Vandye stitch is one of my favourities. In a thick thread it makes a great spine. Love your rendition.

Yes, I fell in love with this stitch, there is such a nice flow to it. London has many wonderful pockets and the parks and gardens are often delightful.
Yes, I met Margaret, and what a wonderful person! I also met her lovely friend so it was indeed a great day!

Thank you Shami.
I think Sharon is going to give us a break soon and then you will be able to catch up.

I took to this stitch instantly, easy and nice rhythm. Looking forward to your TAST2013 Vandyke sampler.

You, if anyone, should be able to guess what the colours stand for.
This stitch would make a nice backbone of a fish.

Yes, we have learned 76 stitches since the TAST started in January last year. I think Sharon said she has about 200 stitches to share so hopefully this project will go on and on and on...

Beautiful sampler Queenie!!!I am far behind and still has to do six samples :( Will be posting all in one design. Busy with something or other nowadays, but still find time to go through blogs and appreciate all good works.

Thank you , Pamela. Now we have a new stitch. Have you already completed your task? You are always so quick.

From time to time we can not keep up with TAST, blogging, and all the other things we used to do. Then it is good to just take a break and come back when there is time. I am looking forward to you all in one design, but take your time.
