In today's Work In Progress Wednesday I have only made progress on one project,

If possible, I want to keep the number at even tens. Last week, the total number of Hexablooms stood at 108. I needed to make either two or twelve more to round up the number to an even 10.
So I made 12 flowers:

Let Sarah's Hand Embroidery Tutorials teach us the Tacked Herringbone Stitch. It is a nice variation of one of the most basic stitches.
As you can understand you have to start
with a line of Herringbone Stitch.
thread and add small upright crosses.
Either you do the horizontal stitches first,
alternating upper and lower lines,
Or you work a line of Running Stitch
first,
Or you make each cross individually.
you use, but the Method 3 gives you the shortest
stitches on the back, and saves thread.

The Bullion Stitch IS difficult to make, but it does get easier with practice.
I think this triangular version is best when in a group, to form a real flower, as seen in the Mottled Wool Scribble Cloth, below.
