I don't know if anyone of you remembers #145 Roll Chain Stitch, but today we are getting acquainted with its sister - Roll Straight Stitch. I learned it from the same source, Miharu. Click on the link and the Japanese website will show you photos of how to work the stitches.
Although the name is Roll Straight Stitch, I think Detached Roll Stitch might be more appropriate, but I will keep the original name.
Here are my photo instructions:
A headless shrimp or a baby beetle larvae?
Great stitch!
ReplyDeleteOkay, another new stitch I have to try. You amaze me with all the new stitches you find!
ReplyDeleteMaybe a curl of lamb's fleece, if you felt like doing lots of them?
ReplyDeleteIf It's pink thread, It's similar to SAKURA shrimp that I can catch locally.
ReplyDeleteI agree, detached roll stitch is a better name.
ReplyDeleteYes it looks like a shrimp.
ReplyDeleteHeadless prawn. I will put this one away for when I need it. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteLove the shrimp! Now to look for something to stitch it on! 😂🤣😂🤣
