WIPW - Jamming

My Work In Progress Wednesday is devoted to jam making. The lavender jam is spreading on

Crazy for Crazy

as I have embellished several seams with fancy stitches from TAST and Sunday Stitch School.

Much more jam will be needed so watch this space.

    1. I will need some darker and lighter tones, and then buttons and such.

    1. I always try to put in the beading and buttons last as the thread often catch on them. Those kinds of embellishment will be another kind of development.

    1. I need more variety in the lavender, it is still a bit bland.

  4. Gorgeous stitches, Queenie! Do you work out what stitches you will use on paper first? Hope I haven’t asked this before, I’ve certainly pondered about it before!

    1. No, I don't plan the stitches on paper, I select three focal points (usually buttons, notions or some other ornament), after that I pick a seam or pice to embellish making sure there will be room for the button later on. Once I have decided which seam to work I will pick a stitch or stitch combination from my TAST or SSS Reference Charts.

    1. You're right, so far I have used rather icy tints, I need to add darker shades and deeper tones.

  6. The lavender is not bland at all. I had been thinking how lovely it looked against the background. All the seams are beautiful.

    1. Thank you. There is more to 'pile on' so it will change further.
