I tried to make some leaves, difficult on Aida, and a line of stitches.
Compare the blue Fishbone Stitch with the Raised Fishbone Stitch in brown six stitches up.

DeleteI see the bones, but no fish. Too hot for swimming maybe...
ReplyDeleteIf spaced wider it would look like a set of fish bones, it is mostly used for leaves and stitched close together.
DeleteAs you say, tricky to do leaves on aida, but it does create quite a good, light, geometric feel...
