I am writing my Work In Progress Wednesday report while the rain is pelting down.
The beading I have added to
Crazy for Crazy
looks like raindrops, but the photo does not show the glitter and sheen.
I have added beads in the circled areas:
Embellish work on the Guinness block is now completed.
Next job is to add the binding and think up a new colour scheme for the next block.
Gorgeous! I think the beads are a welcome addition.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice if the beading can become 'the icing on the cake'. It has to be added last as the thread always get tangled up on the beads.
DeleteSoo many details in the block. Nice.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteIt does look wonderfully frothy - very Guinness!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteYour cake is definitely iced, well done. And sensible too by putting the beads on last.
ReplyDeleteBeads are nice to look at, but a bother when it comes to stitching as everything catches on them.
DeleteCrazy for Crazy Guiness Block is 'frothy' and sparkly.
ReplyDeleteThe addition of beads topped it off perfect.
Great work Queenie.
Thank you Janie.
DeleteLovely! Filled with bubbles, beads and Good Cheer.
ReplyDeleteYes, cheers!
DeleteBeautiful love the seam treatments and your choice of fabrics!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I don't have a lot of black fabric, but managed to scrape together a bit of lace, velvet, kimono silk, machine embroidery and a bit of on old dress.
