Friday Homework for Lesson 47: Two-sided Insertion Stitch

Here is the last homework of the year for Sunday Stitch School.

I added Two-sided Insertion Stitch to the Corded Coral Stitches.
This stitch is SO much better when worked on Aida or even weave.
With these stars I wish you Happy Holidays.
See you again on the other side of 2018.

    1. It takes a bit time to get used to the pattern and design. Once you have learned where to insert the needle it becomes automatic and you don't want to stop.
Best is to use Aida or a piece of fabric with a clear grid.

  5. Yes, it's a pretty stitch - but so much easier as a counted stitch!

  7. I think this is a difficult stitch for freestyle embroidery. Wishing you Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and creative 2018.

    1. It IS a hard stitch to do free style, especially if you can not mark the fabric - and this piece of tailoring silk/wool was impossible to mark with ANY marker!!!

    1. This stitch is best worked on fabric with a clear grid. I think Aida would make the work so much easier.
