TAST stands for Take A Stitch Tuesday which is an online course of stitches on Sharon Boggon's Pintangle. Join in and learn. If you want to do it from scratch, there will be a rerun starting next year.
Read more about it here.
Learn Beaded Oyster Stitch here.
As I have explained before, I want all the TAST stitches in one (private) collection and will give them the chronological number in the order I learn them.
So now it is time for Beaded Oyster Stitch, which I will call TAST #151.
Very nice! I like it.
ReplyDeleteIt makes a pretty line, but Aida is not the best choice of fabric.
DeleteThat makes a very pretty effect, rather like a braid..
ReplyDeleteAs you can vary the size, colour, sheen of the bead you can make this stitch either simple or very dramatic - show off the thread or the bead - only one of both are head players. A stitch to play with!
DeleteBeaded oyster stitch is decorative and you've worked it beautifully
ReplyDeletewith variety of beads and threads.
Nice work, Queenie.
Here is another great stitch in the CQ world.
DeleteVery pretty stitch, especially in my favourite colour!

You can use the same colour for both thread and bead OR dramatic colour contrast. Endless variations are possible.

ReplyDeleteYou can vary the look by choosing different thread and beads.
